Laboratory

The College has well managed and fully equipped laboratories of all programmes. The laboratories that are operated in different semesters are given below. The common labs are shared by different programmes while the specific labs have been used in specific programme. New equipments and instruments are regularly maintained and increased in the labs.

PHYSICS LAB:
The College has well-developed physics lab with a darkroom.

CHEMISTRY LAB:
The chemistry lab is spacious and well equipped with latest instruments and apparatus required for performing experiments as per BE curricula

WORKSHOP LAB:
Workshop is segregated into machine, welding, sheet metal and carpentry. These are fully equipped with the required number of latest technology. The carpentry lab is designed for the students of architecture. Students do wood works in this lab.

ELECTRONICS LAB:
There are five electronic labs comprising five in numbers; basic electronics, advanced electronics, communication, digital electronics and project lab. These are equipped with latest instruments. As technology changes rapidly, the labs are updated accordingly to provide latest information in the concerned field.

ELECTRICAL LAB:
Electrical lab is shared by all the programmes for basic electrical engineering, electrical machines, instrumentation and control system. This is fully equipped with highly sensitive instruments.

CIVIL ENGINEERING LABS:
There are many labs in civil engineering. Civil engineering material lab is used to test various types of materials used in building construction. The strength of materials lab is used to test different metals, and structure lab is used to test the stability of different structures. In fluid mechanics and hydraulic labs, properties of fluids are studied. Geology lab is used for study rocks and structure of the land surface. A number of labs such as hydropower engineering, mechanics and highway engineering lab, soil testing lab and water supply engineering lab are under construction.

SURVEYING LAB:
Students use different type instruments in a site outside the college. The lab is fully equipped with modern and latest surveying instruments.

VISUAL SKETCH LAB: This lab is designed for architecture programme where the visual sketching on monumental objects is done.

COMPUTER LABS: The College has four computer labs equipped with latest high-tech computing facilities and fully supported by suitable application software. High speed internet and intranet facilities are available on every computer.
