Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
Civil engineering is a professional discipline that deals with the planning, design, construction and maintenance of physical and natural environments. It involves construction and maintenance works of physical infrastructures, bridges, roads, canals, dams, buildings, urban planning etc.
HCOE started Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 2065. It is a four year programme having 50 core and elective courses studied in eight semesters.
Civil engineers detail design, construct, supervise, monitor and manage the public works
facilities and projects, like road and bridges, water supply and waste-treatment plant
and system, dams and reservoirs for water supply, power production, navigation,
irrigation and recreation; and facilities to house and to transport people to where they
live, work, and supply.
